These technologies are critical to the safe containment of corrosive contents, maintaining vessel pressure and ensuring final batch quality. GMM Pfaudler’s reaction technologies are an integral part of an effective process.
Modular reactor systems
GMM Pfaudler Systems designs and builds its reactor systems as turn-key, completely assembled process modules which include all required equipment, instrumentation, piping and controls. Our engineers integrally design all systems components to provide the most efficient operation systems while also providing higher quality, lower costs, and shorter schedules.
Reactor Technology
The mechanical design of our reactors ensures safe operation while under pressure or during vacuum in the vessel or jacket. GMM Pfaudler is certified to design and build Pfaudler glass-lined and Equilloy alloy equipment under all major global pressure vessel regulations and codes, including ASME, AD 2000, PED, TEMA, GHOST, SELO, GB150 and KGS.
Reactor material engineering
The safe, effective containment of corrosive chemicals is crucial. It protects personnel safety, property and, of course, the environment. For the most highly corrosive application, the corrosion resistance of Pfaudler’s glass-lined technology is unmatched. Our glass-lined, is also ideal for high purity applications due to its low surface tension, clean-ability, and low extractables. GMM Pfaudler has the largest installed base in the industry. Fluoropolymer accessories and reactive metal condensers are included in the highest corrosion resistance packages. For alloy reaction systems application, EQUILLOY brand designs and builds equipment in array of metal alloys and reative metals in solid, lined, and clad constructions.
Mixing Systems
Batch quality is dependent on effective mixing, as it ensures proper heat transfer and reaction. Through considerable research and development, GMM Pfaudler leads the way in the invention of the latest mixing technologies. For our Pfaudler glass-lined mixers and MIXION alloy mixers, we focus on every component when designing mixers, including the impeller, baffle, shaft seal, gearbox, and motor. Whatever the application may be, from high-viscosity , gas dispersion, or solid suspension to general liquid-liquid mixing, we have the mixer configuration to support it. Our INTERSEAL brand shaft sealing technology provides safe containmnet of the reactor contents.
Temperature Control Units
Heat transfer design is another vital factor in batch quality. Proper reactor mixer design, jacket geometry, jacket utility selection and the jacket’s Temperature Control Unit (TCU) all have an important part to play in reactor heat transfer and controlling temperature for quality. Through years of research and development, GMM Pfaudler Systems is able to provide cutting-edge heat transfer and temperature control technologies.

GMM Pfaudler Systems custom engineers, designs and manufactures each system for each client's specific process and installation site. Our engineers integrally design all system components to provide the most efficient operation system for each specific client process. We also custom design and manufacture the layout of each system to properly fit in each client's available process area, with the system layed out for easy operation and maintenance.
Being the inventor and leading manufacturer of glass lined equipment since 1884, GMM Pfaudler Reactor Systems many times included our glass-lined reactors. However, with our alloy fabrication capabilities, our reactor systems are oftentimes constructed of stainless steel and high nickel alloys.
We design and build complete Modular Process Systems around all of our core technologies including Reactors, Wiped Film Evaporators, Agitated Nutsche Filter Dryers.
