Filtration & Drying Systems
Systems
Overview
MAVAG's filtration and drying technologies are utilized by our global clientele in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. Our skilled engineers also design and supply these technologies as complete process systems.
Filtration Systems
Pfaudler filters, in alloy, glass-lined (Glasteel®), and fluoropolymer-lined steel, are used in pressure filtration applications to provide a cost-effective solution for solid/liquid separation.
Our engineers also design and build complete filtration process solutions, including wash systems and filtrate handling systems, which maximize product yield and purity.
These solutions include all ancillary equipment, piping, instrumentation and controls.
Drying Systems
Pfaudler offers a range of highly efficient drying technologies. These include stainless steel sterile, contained filter/dryers for potent pharmaceutical compounds, stainless steel and Glass-LIned (Glasteel®) double cone dryers for corrosive applications, as well as simple Glass-Lined (Glasteel®) evaporation dishes.
Our team of experts also design and build complete drying process solutions including Thermal Control Systems (TCUs) for precise temperature control, vacuum systems, solvent recovery systems, as well as product charging and discharging systems.
These solutions include all ancillary equipment, piping, instrumentation, and controls.
Engineering Design and Pilot Testing
Pfaudler process and project engineers custom design filtration and drying systems for our client’s chemical processes and manage each project from conception through commissioning.
Each system is custom engineered to provide the most efficient and cost-effective solution for each client’s specific process. The systems are provided with full documentation packages.
Pfaudler process engineers assist with system commissioning and provide operation and maintenance training.
Our pilot test facility has filtration and drying technologies. Pilot testing is critical for confirming filtration & drying performance and collecting data for design of commercial scale equipment and systems.
