GMM Pfaudler Foundation has been set up as a wholly-owned subsidiary of GMM Pfaudler Limited under the provisions of Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, to carry out and implement the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of GMM Pfaudler and its group companies. The Foundation is a non-profit organization and is working towards sustainable development and inclusive growth and will focus on issues relating to healthcare, education & skill development, and environmental sustainability.

CSR Partners

Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), established by ESI Act, is an autonomous corporation under Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. The corporation can set up hospitals either independently in collaboration with the State Government or other Private Entities, but most of the dispensaries and hospitals are runed by the concerned state government. The ESIC Hospital, Sanathanagar located at Nacharam, Hyderabad is a 500 bedded hospital rendering services to patients from 40 dispensaries attached to the hospital.

Promoting health care including preventive health care under Section 135 r/w Schedule VII (i) of the Companies Act, 2013

Charutar Arogya Mandal (CAM), a charitable trust set up by the late Dr. H. M Patel, has been working for providing modern and professional healthcare to the rural community in Anand and Kheda districts of Gujarat for over 3 decades. Shree Krishna Hospital, managed by CAM receives and treats thousands of patients every day. Initially, starting with a modest 136-bed facility, Shree Krishna Hospital has today emerged as one of the largest, modern, and professionally run institution in the state. Its treatment facilities include technologically robust ICUs, Operation Theatres, Trauma Centre, Laboratories, CT-Scan, Cancer Centre, Cardiac Centre, and a host of other state-of-the-art facilities. The hospital itself, through many of its special programmes, provides its services to the economically deprived persons at extremely reasonable and affordable rates.

CAM also manages the HM Patel Centre for Medical Care and Education at its 100-acre campus in Karamsad. It conducts extension activities in a number of villages surrounding the hospital and its satellite centres and is recognized by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India as a Scientific Industrial Research Organization to carry out research activities. Promoting education and employment enhancing vocational skills under Section 135 r/w Schedule VII (ii) of the Companies Act, 2013

J V Patel, Industrial Training Institute located at Karamsad, Gujarat was established in the year 1979 under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and Societies Registration Act 1860 with the objective of enhancing the livelihood of local communities by promoting education through vocational skill development.

J V Patel ITI, well-equipped with qualified and experienced instructors as its faculty, has eight Trades certified by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), New Delhi and two Trades certified by the Technical Education Board (TEB), Gandhinagar. Currently, it creates employment for about 400 students coming from the local community every year. Further details are available at http://www.jvpitc.org

Ensuring environmental sustainability under Section 135 r/w Schedule VII (iv) of the Companies Act, 2013

Sardar Patel Charitable Trust was established in the year 1975 and is registered under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and Societies Registration Act 1860. The main objective of the Trust is to promote and perpetuate the memory of Shri Sardar Patel, The Iron Man of India, and his brother Shri Veer Vithalbhai who both played an important role in India’s freedom struggle.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Veer Vithalbhai Memorial (“The Memorial”) was established in the year 2000 and is managed by the Sardar Patel Charitable Trust.  The Memorial is visited by a large number of students from schools and colleges, likewise, visitors from Gujarat, other states and abroad. The Memorial hosts various student activities like study camps, research works, youth camps, group discussions, elocution competitions in with coordination with neighbouring schools, colleges, and socio-culture organizations. The Memorial organizes lectures and seminars by eminent scholars, writers, leaders in public life and administrators from Government and Non-Government Organization, emphasis being on good governance and leadership. Ensuring environmental sustainability, ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna, animal welfare, agroforestry, conservation of natural resources and maintaining quality of soil, air and water under Section 135 r/w Schedule VII (iv) of the Companies Act, 2013.

ReefWatch Marine Conservation is a non-profit Organization established in 1993, as a Public Charitable Trust under the Societies Registration Act. ReefWatch is involved in research, education and outreach activities. These have included coral reef monitoring in the Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, documentary films, beach clean ups in Mumbai, SCUBA training for scientists and education programs in schools across the country.

ReefWatch has served as a Member of the National Board for Wildlife (Government of India) since May 2007. The organization has had the privilege of working with many dedicated and inspiring individuals in the fields of science, filmmaking, photography and media. Sardar Patel Renewable Energy Research Institute (SPRERI) established in 1979, is an autonomous and not-for-profit organization managed by a board comprising leading technologies, scientists, industrialists, and representatives of Central and State Government. Solar energy, bioconversion and thermo- chemical conversion of biomass are the three major fields of specialization of SPRERI.

SayTrees is a community of ardent environment enthusiasts who believe in protecting and maintaining our planet for future generations. SayTrees has been planting saplings and establishing forest patches in every conceivable location and topography. SayTrees have planted over 110 Miyawaki Forests in eight states. The total number of saplings in these forests exceeds 450000. To date, SayTrees has planted over 1.4 million saplings across India.

Railway station primary school is a government school established in the year 1972 located at Karamsad, Gujarat. At present the school runs classes from Standard 1st to Standard 8th and has approximately 360+ students studying in the school.

Catalysts for Social Action is a non-profit organization committed to giving institutionalized children as well as young care leavers, a chance for a better future. CSA partners with childcare institutions and makes them more effective by providing support for Education, Health, Nutrition, Aftercare, and livelihood. Over the last 20 years, CSA has created a visible impact in the lives of 20,000+ children.
