Pfaudler Group purchases the assets of Glasskem

Pfaudler announces, effective September 1st, 2017, the purchase of the assets of Glasskem, an Italian supplier in full operation since 2016, specialized in the manufacture of glass lined equipment for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Glasskem is headquartered and has a manufacturing site in Torre di Mosto, close to Venice in Italy.

With this acquisition, Pfaudler proceeds further with its European manufacturing modernization strategy by getting access to a newly built production facility and its best-in-class equipment and expertise.

In addition, this combination offers the opportunity to consolidate the Group’s activities in Italy in the core business of glass lined equipment.

The current plan foresees that all Glasskem activities will be incorporated under the responsibility of Pfaudler Srl, the Italian regional organization of GMM Pfaudler Group.

In the next months, Pfaudler Srl will move its operations and offices from the existing site located in San Donà di Piave, Venice to the nearby site of Torre di Mosto, Venice.

The move to the new location is expected to be completed during the first part of 2018.

At the end of this transition, glass lined reactors, tanks and vessels together with all other original equipment manufacturing and all services and aftermarket activities (including reglassing and parts) for the Italian and other selected regional markets are planned to be manufactured and handled from the new location in Torre di Mosto.

In line with the Pfaudler’s marketing strategy, all products and services provided from the new Italian set-up will carry the Pfaudler brand.
