Pfaudler China’s new factory (Liyang) will be defining the standard!

Pfaudler China’s exciting new factory project has achieved a major milestone in November, with construction completed for a 20,000 m2 factory and a 3,000 m2 office building. The installation stage of the project has started, and the facility remains on schedule to be in full production at the start of the Chinese New Year (25 January 2020).
With state-of-the-art furnaces and glassing facilities, the Liyang factory will be world class in terms of its manufacturing capabilities and quality. Boasting, presumably, the biggest furnace for glass-lined production in the world, the Liyang plant will be well-placed to meet the needs of the growing Chinese market for premium equipment.
Pfaudler has invested in five new furnaces at the new site in Liyang. All the furnaces are designed and built according to the latest European technology. The five furnaces are insulated with high-density glass fibre board, ensuring maximum thermal efficiency and will also help to maintain a very clean surface inside to reduce the risk of product contamination. All furnaces have multiple heating zones that by far exceed the existing standard on the Chinese market, allowing for accurate heat distribution within the furnaces and ensuring that the product is free from defects related to inadequate heat distribution. The furnace design also incorporates cooling ports for controlled cooling, making the process cycle times shorter and the process more reliable. The power available to the site supports the five furnaces to give some of the fastest ramp rates in the industry.
The spraying and drying chambers are unique features within the industry, with the vessels prepared, sprayed and dried in a controlled environment. With computer-driven, environmental systems on multiple independent chambers, customer vessels are coated by avoiding the main sources of contamination. Once sprayed, the drying program is selected and temperature and humidity are optimised to provide specific drying conditions, substantially reducing the required drying time.
With the above described improvements, lead times and delivery times for Pfaudler equipment will be optimised, and quality maintained at the highest levels in the industry.
The new strategic Pfaudler factory in Liyang, China comes with the benefits of a flexible production layout, state-of-the-art manufacturing and the high quality of glass-lined technology, to meet the demand and requirements of the growing Chinese market.
