On-Machine Installation
For internally heated dryer rolls, EDLON developed On-Machine Seaming™ (OMS) technology as a means of installing a roll cover without having to disassemble the machine.
On-Machine Seaming™ makes it possible to install a heat shrinkable sleeve on a dryer without removing the roll from the paper machine.
EDLON’s experienced field service technicians can install a smooth, non-stick covering during normal scheduled maintenance.
In the highly reliable On-Machine Seaming™ method, a sheet of shrinkable fluoropolymer is custom cut for proper fit and then sealed using EDLON's proprietary heat-sealing technique. The cover is then shrunken to a tight fit through the internal dryer heat.
